On Saturday 3rd April 2021, GNR8 Academy hosted their first ever Festival of Fitness to celebrate the end of the third national lockdown and to encourage as many people as possible to get active. It was a hugely successful event, with families from all across Leicestershire coming together to take part in fun fitness activities. The event took place at New Parks Community Hub and was free for all participants.
There were over 100 people who signed up to the festival across the 2 sessions, taking part in a range of fitness challenges including burpees, tire flips and shuttle runs. We also had a giant goal shootout and tombola with some amazing prizes including Easter egg hampers and GNR8 memberships!
Dan Powell, head coach of GNR8 Academy said “It was great to see so many people attending the event. Following the coronavirus pandemic, we were determined to bring the community together and raise everyone’s spirits and that is exactly what we did!
